The Blackfriar, a visual treat.

An elegant Georgian style building with art nouveau decoration and ironwork. It was built in 1905 on the site of a friary which existed from 1279 to 1539 (read the history plaque outside).  Inside the pub is terrific and adorned with art nouveau features.
