Goodge St – Oxford St, W1 London Pub Crawl
Home in the 1980s to London’s new radio stations, Goodge Street is dominated by the 1960s Post Office Tower (now called BT Tower) the primary telecommunications centre for London. This route is a great alternative to shopping on Oxford Street!
The best pubs near Oxford Street
This walk is just under 2km and should take you less than 3 hours. The walk takes you along Oxford Street and quickly to a Bohemian pub where, in the 1930s George Orwell and other writers would gather. We have found a great pub serving pies, what can be better on a cold night than a lovely pie and a great pint! And our last pub allows for a bit of “rock star” spotting – if you are lucky!
London Underground (Tube) Lines are:
Northern Line, Central Line
Interesting point on this walk:- Oxford Street is London’s most visited shopping street.
